It's been twenty-some years since we first opened the doors of this place, and every day since then we strive to offer our guests a piece of the past. Within these walls, every object, every wall, every moment of time spent here is a reminder that there are things that must not be forgotten.
The soul of our kitchen is the loyalty and affection we draw from our great-grandmothers' recipes. Nostalgia is a space where time rests. Where tradition, quality and hospitality are still cherished. Here, every dish tells a story - of the past, of Hungarian heritage and the warmth of home.

Here, they still cook as the great women of old did: they take their time, with heart and soul. All our soups simmer for long hours, all our stir-fries are handmade. For we know that haste is not good for the taste, and haste is the spoiler of a good meal.
Everything in our kitchen was grown in a golden apple garden: if it was paprika, it had to be Hungarian, if it was meat, it had to be home-grown. Because we know very well that only good ingredients can produce real food, as was the custom in the old days. No unnecessary frills, just pure, honest flavours that our ancestors would have loved.
As with the history of stone soup, you'll need to be inventive - you can roast your own meat and vegetables on the lava stone heat. The flavour of a lava stone roast is unrivalled, and those who have tried it will tell you it was a truly fabulous feast!
